Blackrock and Merrill Lynch Asset Management to Combine?
Bloomberg has news today of the possible combination of Blackrock and Merrill Lynch Asset Management. It is good to see many friends from my Lehman Brothers and Wall Street days doing so well. Congratulations if this deal comes to pass. It is hard to imagine that the small little money management firm Larry Fink and Ralph Schlosstien started in 1988 could possibly be bigger than $1,000 billion dollars shortly. That is quite some growth and no doubt many long hours of hard work… Congrats also to Susan Wagner and Ben Golub.
